In this four-session course we evaluate the global role of English (English as a Lingua Franca) and invite teachers to consider its implications for classroom practice.
M1: In this module we focus on the personal and professional understanding of English. Who am I as a user of English?
M2: Together we investigate the role of English as a means for global communication and its implications for the (multilingual) language classroom.
M3: We move on to the practical implementation by designing material collaboratively.
M4: Having tried out we exchange and discuss our practical experiences and insights. This offers the option of creating a material pool.
